Successful Delivery of ATCO Training in Seychelles

Global ATS and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) have successfully completed a collaborative Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) training programme in Mahé for Aerodrome and Approach Radar ratings.

Global ATS delivered the ICAO 054 APS 2024 and ICAO 052 Aerodrome 2024 courses using mobile simulation units. This initiative eliminated the need for the ATCO’s to travel overseas for training while supporting Seychelles' goal of developing local air traffic control expertise. The training delivery in Seychelles provides several advantages for the local aviation community, including:

· Enabling students to train in their home country

· Reducing travel requirements

· Maintaining familiar cultural and operational context

· Supporting work-life balance for trainees

· Facilitating the immediate practical application of learning

Joe de Bruyn, Director of Sales at Global ATS, commented: "We are pleased to support the development of air traffic control capabilities in Seychelles. This training programme demonstrates our commitment to delivering quality ATC training that meets international standards."

The successful delivery of this training program for the Seychelles showcases Global ATS’s ability to deliver professional ATC training that meets specific regional requirements while maintaining ICAO standards.
